A brief opinion in nowadays society; should women work or stay at home?

It is argued by some that becoming career oriented woman is a lifetime achievement, while others believe that growing into a housewife is felicitous for female.

Nowadays, some people support the idea of women need to work because they have to pay their own bills. By that, women are trained to become independent, hence it is no need for them to hang their life to men. They are free to appoint any kind of life they like to embrace, to have infinity spirit and to spend their salary in luxurious goods which does not require anyone approval. This happens to build their mental to be undeniable fighters. Furthermore, women figures have shown up in many sectors such as in political, business, culture and most of them are in education. The examples of women play big roles in society have shaped women perspective to aspire higher success for their own.

Though it is true that women who endeavor immense accomplishment will live her life with triumph and honor as becoming liberated, it is considered by many that being women who are staying at home, washing dishes, cleaning up house is a naturally mandatory. Who sets up the standard? I have no I idea. Or maybe it is from most Indonesians ancestors legacy. To my way of thinking, married to a man and transforming into a housewife is not easy. Stay at home women have responsibility to make sure everything is fine, to cook, to arrange financial plan, to organize family spending. This habit actually will construct women to increase their ability of being critical and creative. As a result, it seems to me that when they are having kids, their former tendency will benefit them in the future. I will not say that their stress level will diminishing, nevertheless it will common to them when facing difficulty of raising children. For example, they can spend a lot of time to nurture, educate and support their kids. Simply means they actually prepare a well educated new generation to the world.

I wholeheartedly believe that women are free to choose their life path as working and being housewife have its own advantages and disadvantages. However, in this digital era, I assume there are plenty of women who are being a stay at home wife as well as being a worker from home since technology enables them to get a job and gain money from social media. Others might still work to the company while being a wife also not a big deal as long as their partner support and put their trusts. Women who are still living as an independent badass who get their paycheck are excellent too.

The only thing I do not agree is when one woman is being superior about herself and make others feel down. We should not be like that. Woman has to support another due to our self development. We should not bother one’s success, we should appreciate and respect them instead.

Let’s develop a generation where we don’t compare our achievement to others. Healthy life comes from healthy mind. Let’s keep our mind healthy for being grateful of our choices.
